Isn't it lucky that no one is ever satisfied shows abstract creepy elongated hands on ruled paper. The title of this work is an ironic commentary on workplace culture and productivity. Hands are a recurring theme in Fuller’s practice that links this painting to her previous body of work. The representation of human hands is a way to insert the presence of the human body in a work as the symbol of the human figure without having to be a portrait. The style employed by the artist is closer to her previous practice - the themes of the monstrous and grotesque prevailed. The grotesque element in this painting is influenced by David Cronenberg’s science fiction films which the artist takes inspiration from along with the work of writers such as JG Ballard and Brett Easton Ellis.
