The elusive and hypnotic character of the Astropriest interacts with the sculptures installed in the exhibitions. The performer, as in a ritual, manipulates the saddles and steadily holds them. The Astropriest’s ceremonious gestures spark a reflection on the role of human interaction for the use of technologies. The sensual touch alludes to sexuality without being explicit, enhanced by the defined musculature and layered construction of the sensuous saddles. The audio, composed by the sound artist Khlorys, alternates moans with eerie sounds to create a hypnotising and solemn feeling. The video lasts for 8 minutes and is played on a wall-mounted curved screen monitor. This work explores the contrast between absent, veiled, and abstracted bodies in which the detached saddles serve as a reminder of the interdependence between bodies and devices.
