The drawing Born under the airport made with graphite and charcoal on paper, is a reflection of the dissolution of the human form and body, as it morphs, under the burden of the mundane, repetitive tasks of daily life. The figure in the drawing is transforming into a feral creature and the untamed hair morphs into horns. As people become absorbed in the mundanity of their routine, they transform into creatures, as if they were simply driven by instinct. Taylor reflects on how in our daily lives we are constrained by repetitive tasks, often relegated to the same locales, almost on autopilot.
