In A Well-Sealed Vessel, Taylor creates a ghostly red figure, its tendrils of hair seem to be possessed by some energy and are reaching all directions. The geometric incisions cut through the heavy layer of paint in the background and on the face they create make-up or tattoos. The figure feels contained within the borders of the frame yet volatile, as if trapped. Scratched inscriptions ghost across the surface, a cryptic script that hints at forgotten rituals or lost languages.
