We are thrilled to announce Brooke Benington’s representation of Alan Stanners to coincide with his solo exhibition Wild Life at our Fitzrovia gallery.
Alan Stanners (b. 1985, Dundee, Scotland) lives and works in Glasgow. He holds a BA in Painting and Printmaking from Glasgow School of Art and an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University of London. Stanners current body of work explores the intersection of portraiture and abstraction, using hyper-realistic renderings of fictional subjects to engage viewers with narratives about our evolving relationship with the environment, cultural mythology, and technology.
Alan Stanners’ work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions. Most recently, Stanners presented the solo exhibitions Wild Life at Brooke Benington, London and Galapogos at Pavilion Pavilion, Glasgow. Among the group exhibitions he has participated in are Down in the woods, up in the sky, curated by Domenico De Chirico at Double Q.
